About This Course
This course is designed to provide awareness or basic understanding of bloodborne pathogens, common modes of transmission, prevention methods, and other pertinent information.
The course provides an awareness level training on a topic that is required for new employees in organizations that could be exposed to blood or other body fluids and must be repeated annually.

- Employees that could be exposed to blood or body fluids in the workplace, including custodial, sanitation, construction, and maintenance workers.

I. David Daniels
I. David Daniels, President/CEO of ID2 Solutions, LLC, a workplace safety consulting company specializing in workplace safety planning, training, and assessment. Mr. Daniels holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Services Administration, a Masters degree in Human Resources Management, and is a candidate for a Ph.D. in Occupational Health and Safety. He is certified as a Safety Director, Violence Prevention Specialist, Emergency Management Specialist, Safety and Health Specialist, and mental health first aid. Daniels is a member of the delegates committee of the National Safety Council (NSC) and founding chair of the NSC’s Government and Public-Sector Division, and a past member of the NSC Board of Directors. He also serves on the NSC’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force. He is an affiliate of the Workplace Bullying Institute, a member of the International Association of Safety Professionals, and a life member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs. Daniels' safety focus formed during over 30 years as a Fire Chief in fire/rescue, emergency medical, and emergency management organizations in three states. His safety efforts were a major reason he was inducted into the National Fire Heritage Center’s Hall of Legacies, Legends, and Leaders Class of 2021. This made him the first-ever living African American to have been inducted into the American Fire Service Hall of Fame. In addition to his professional focus on safety, Daniels takes his focus on safety into his community as Health, Safety and Environmental Director for the Cedar Grove Community Association and chair of the Board of Directors of an anti-racism-focused local non-profit organization called “The Bridge.”See more
